"The Manchester Marathon took place where over 36000 participants completed 26.2 miles. I contributed at a relay point (the halfway mark) in a water station, where I provided water, medals and t-shirts to those who needed it. I demonstrated passion, purpose and generosity of spirit by taking part in this opportunity. I was part of the route team and the official event team. This year’s fundraising totaled with over £4 million raised for hundreds of causes, including Official Charities: Alzheimer’s Society, British Heart Foundation, Cancer Research UK, and The Christie Charity. I am happy that I was able to play my part in this major fundraising event that embodies our Cestrian Character as a whole."
