Varshini V (7JRI): I recently participated in a public speaking competition. I spoke in Tamil my (mother language), on the unique qualities of the mother tongue. Although the experience was challenging and I initially felt nervous, I remained committed and persevered. I was honoured with a special prize, which enhanced my confidence to participate in future competitions. The preparation for the competition required a lot of practice. I spent several evenings rehearsing my speech. Standing on stage in front of an audience was intimidating. I intend to attend workshops and join clubs trying to challenge myself further.
