"The theme we chose this year was the Commonwealth Games. This is because we wanted to show that we are not just united by culture (our theme last year), but by much more, such as sport. I was dressed up as a weightlifter, representing one of the many events in the Games. I also made the weightlifting bar from scratch using Styrofoam and a mop, this was quite the challenge. Some of the other sports represented were boxing, badminton, cricket, judo, and tennis."
