I am an athlete for Sale Harriers athletics club, which is one of the best clubs in the country and is known for coaching athletes who have gone on to become world renowned competitors.

I competed in 3 events: the 75 metres, the 150 metres and the long jump. I won both of my heats in the 75m and the 150m, against many experienced runners and I took an all-round silver medal in the long jump, which now makes me one of the best long jumpers in the northwest.

I  am lucky enough to train at the Regional Sports Arena at Sport City in Manchester twice a week. My training involves strength and conditioning work on the track as well as weight training in the gym. It’s demanding work and a lot of commitment but I am hoping to pursue my dream of becoming an athlete. I am looking forward to competing in the final outdoor competition of the year next week where I am hoping to gain further personal bests.”
