Arda (Y7): Celebration of Arda’s Achievement at the World Scholars Cup Tournament of Champions
His journey began with selection into Koç School’s Scholars Academy Club, a highly competitive program that trained him in advanced interdisciplinary knowledge, team debates, and collaborative writing, preparing him for the World Scholar’s Cup (WSC). Arda has demonstrated outstanding academic and competitive excellence at every stage of the WSC:
Bucharest Regional Round: Among 1,500 international delegates, he competed as part of a two-member team (while most teams had three) and still secured three Silver Medals, ranking 10th place as a CRIA Team member, 22nd as a CRIA Scholar, and 21st in the Scholars’ Bowl Team category. The CRIA Team (Champion of Regional and Invitational Activities) distinction is awarded to the highest-performing teams across all competition categories, while the CRIA Scholar title recognizes individual competitors who excel across multiple disciplines.
Global Round in Stockholm: Competing against 2,600 international scholars, he earned three additional medals, including Silver in the Writing Championship (ranking 158th), and his team placed 37th in Team Bowl and 49th in Team Debate.
As part of this experience, he also had the unique opportunity to visit Harvard, Yale, Brown, and Boston University, further enriching his academic perspective.
